Is Christianity Relevant In Today's World? Many people are unsure of what the terms 'Christianity' and 'Christian' actually mean but nonetheless go on to say that there is no place for it, that it is irrelevant and outdated for the fast paced, high tech World of today. How do they know that? How can anyone judge the value of something they know nothing or very little about. Peoples beliefs of what 'Christianity' is really about and what being 'a Christian' actually means and entails is often based on total misconceptions and assumptions. We hope the following pages help clear up some of these misunderstandings and provide you with enough information to make up your own mind. |

Direction,
Reality and The Meaning Of Life
Many people are looking for direction in their life. Lots of people are looking for 'spiritual meaning'. In our present World of rapid scientific advances, increasing wealth and an obsession with both social and fashion trends, there still exists needs which have been around since the beginning of time. People need a sense of purpose, love and security, inner satisfaction and peace. Many people 'feel' something is missing in their lives and look for answers to life's questions: "what is my purpose in life?", "what is the meaning of life?" or "is there more to life than this?". Without purpose and meaning in their lives, some may turn to drugs, alcohol, sexual promiscuity or seek money and material possessions in order to find temporary satisfaction or false, short-lived happiness. We must find meaning and satisfaction within ourselves, within our very own souls. We were all created to live in a relationship with God. Until we find that relationship we will always feel that there is something missing in our lives. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6). Jesus also said, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." (John 6:35). When Jesus enters our lives, He makes us complete, fulfilled and satisfied. |

Relevancy
Jesus promises to give direction in whatever situation we find ourselves, (John 14:26). Jesus brings a sense of ultimate purpose, a reason for life, and satisfies our deepest longings and needs for true, lasting love and security. The God who created the universe is certainly creative and wise enough to deal with our individual needs. Belief in God is not irrelevant, it transforms the whole of our lives, on every level. Jesus is about Life and Death. A loving relationship with God not only transforms and adds meaning to our lives but also survives beyond our physical death. Most people do not want to die but the fact is we will all die one day. Jesus promises all that believe in him, eternal life. Only in Jesus will we live on in Heaven. |

If you have faith as small as the mustard seed you can say to this mulberry bush, be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it will obey you. (Luke 17:6) |
